Eligibility as a Special Olympian

Special Olympics provides a competition pathway, in a variety of sports (including badminton), for athletes, of all ability levels, who have an intellectual (or learning) disability. This does not include conditions such as dyslexia, dyspraxia or someone who has high functioning autism. However, anyone who attended a special school because of a learning disability, and/or who requires a degree of support with everyday tasks, may well be eligible as a Special Olympian.
